                                                                       First World War Memorials

                                                                   Website Evaluation Survey 2017

One hundred years on from The Great War 1914-18, South Gloucestershire Council, supported by The National Lottery and the Imperial War Museum, has developed a website that provides information about local war memorials and the local people named on them.  There are at least 62 war memorials in South Gloucestershire, where the names of around 1500 of the fallen are commemorated. Click here to view

As part of the
South Gloucestershire in the First World War Project we are bringing together all the known details of the fallen in one place on this website and are linking this site to QR (Quick Read) codes placed near the war memorials. So far, we have added information provided by local groups for the following war memorials: Almondsbury, Chipping Sodbury, Cromhall, Downend, Hanham, Marshfield, Olveston and Pilning and Stoke Gifford. We have also added images to some of the Olveston War Memorial entries.

We would really appreciate it if you could please give us your thoughts on the website by completing this short evaluation survey.
